The Drone

The Drone is our entry level product designed for the beekeeper who wants to switch to Layens beehives on a budget. Bolstering a 24 frame capacity and manufactured out of 1 1/16" thick white pine, this hive is a great starting point for new and seasoned beekeepers alike. This hive is equipped with premium roofing, corner guards, and four entrances providing versatility and the ability to have one large colony or two medium sized colony in one hive.
